Do you want to play a pivotal role in raising the funds we need to provide our life-changing services for deaf children and their families?

In 2021/22 the National Deaf Children’s Society aims to raise £24.5 million to fund our range of services and campaigning work. Around 90% of this will be generated through the activities of the Supporter Marketing team. We have ambitious plans to continue the growth that has seen us more than double fundraising income since 2005, allowing us to extend the reach of our services for deaf children and young people.

As the Direct Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for delivering supporter retention campaigns for our 160,000 National Deaf Children’s Society and Deaf Child Worldwide regular supporters and 35,000 cash and raffle donors. You will ensure our campaigns are delivered on time and budget, including direct marketing appeals, raffles, telephone reactivation and upgrade campaigns, supporter magazines, and online communication channels.

Working as part of the Supporter Marketing team you will contribute to planning and implementing our supporter retention communications, finding new ways to improve supporter commitment and satisfaction and increase retention rates.

You will have experience in marketing or fundraising either within a charity or other environment. You will be an effective communicator with strong project management skills and good creative/copywriting skills. Previous experience of telephone fundraising is an advantage.

The post is offered at either 28 or 35 hours (4 or 5 days) per week depending on the successful applicant’s preferences. This is a fixed-term post expected to start in January 2022 and is expected to run until February 2023. The role is home-based, though travel to the London office and other locations may be required on an occasional basis.
